Open Access Agreements

Usually, you pay an "article processing charge" (APC) when you publish in an Open Access journal or use the Open Access option in a traditional subscription-based journal. As a researcher at Halmstad University, you can get discounts on all or part of the publication fee via the library's agreements with several publishers.

Please note!

Eventual additional charges, such as color figures or offprints, are usually not included in the costs covered by the library.

Conditions

  • Corresponding author must be affiliated with Halmstad University.

The discount usually applies only to the corresponding author (the person who handles the manuscript and correspondence during the publication process) with affiliation to Halmstad University.

  • Halmstad University email address.

Always use your Halmstad University email address (ending with “hh.se”) at all stages of the publishing process. This is to ensure the identification of Halmstad University corresponding authors and eligible articles.

Agreements

Please note!

For some consortium agreements there is often a limit of articles where there is no APC. When the article allocation for the agreement has been reached you yourself have to pay the APC, or another solution is needed.
