Sage Publishing has journals in the subject areas of social sciences, humanities, technology and medicine.  Halmstad University has a Read & Publish agreement with Sage. This means that the Article Processing Charges (APCs) may be covered by the national agreement. Here we have summarized what you as a researcher need to know.

What’s included?

The Article Processing Charges (APCs) are covered by the national agreement with the publisher as follows:

• Articles accepted after 2024-01-01.
• The agreement  covers the majority of the journals in Sage Premier. See Hybrid Open Access Journals
• The agreement covers all of the journals in the Sage Gold OA package. See Gold Open Access Journals
• Articles are published with CC-BY license.

What's not included?

• IOS Press is not included in this agreement.
• Following journals charge a fee when being submitted for publication, which is not included in the agreement: American Sociological Review, Asia Pacific Journal of Public Health, Cephalalgia, Journal of Accounting, Auditing & Finance, Journal of Health and Social Behavior, Social Psychology Quarterly, Sociological Methodology, Sociological Perspectives, Sociological Theory, Sociology of Education and Teaching Sociology.
• Additional charges associated with the printed journal, such as color figures or offprints.

Requirements to use the agreement

• Corresponding author must be affiliated with Halmstad University.

• Your Halmstad University affiliation must be stated in the published article.

• Use your Halmstad University e-mail address at all stages of the publishing process.
