Emerald
Researchers at Halmstad University can publish Open Access free of charge in all of Emerald's journals. The Article Processing Charges (APCs) are covered by a national agreement with the publisher.

No Open Access Article Processing Charge (APC) for corresponding authors from participating organisations for an unlimited number of articles.

Instructions for corresponding authors
When submitting a manuscript to an Emerald journal, be sure to:
- Use your @hh.se email address.
- State your Halmstad University affiliation.
- Please select the Open Access option upon submission.
This way Emerald will identify you as an author qualified to publish Open Access, free of charge. The article will be immediately Open Access when published.
What’s included?
The agreement includes unlimited Open Access publishing free of charge in hybrid journals, fully Open Access journals and publishing on the Emerald Open Research platform. Hybrid journals are subscription based journals where individual articles may be Open Access with a publication fee (APC).
CC-BY 4.0 or another CC license may be selected by the author.
What's not included?
Additional charges associated with the printed journal, such as color figures or offprints, are not included.
About the agreement
The agreement is a national so-called “Read & Publish” agreement. The APCs are already prepaid, since the agreement includes both the costs of the library's subscriptions as well as the costs of Open Access publishing.
