Jisc Open policy finder

What Is It

Jisc's open policy finder (formerly Sherpa Romeo / Sherpa services) helps authors and institutions to make informed and confident decisions in open access publication and compliance.

How to Use It

In Jisc's open policy finder you as an author can find information about how you are allowed to publish your publications (articles, monographs and book chapters) in the different steps of the author flow: submitted, accepted and published. This includes information about:

  • Embargo: whether there is an embargo
  • License: which CC-licenses options there are
  • Copyright owner: if you retain your right to the publication
  • Locations:  where self-archiving is allowed

Usually, you can also find information about publications

fees.
